Meet the characters

Athena

Athena is a 3 year old German Shepherd and the main character of the Athena the Anxious Shepherd series. We started Athena’s training when she was 6 months old and during training discovered she has anxiety issues. This was the idea behind the Athena the Anxious Shepherd series. What better way for kids to learn that even animals can have anxiety? With a lot of training and hard work we were able to work through a lot of her issues and were even able to train her for service dog work! She has become an amazing part of our family.

Yoshi

Yoshi is a 10 year Yorkshire Terrier (AKA Yorkie) and is the main character in the Yoshi’s Roadtrip series. He has such a big personality and loves traveling with us so we decided this is the perfect way to share his real life adventures..

Embry

Embry was a 10 year old Maine Coon cat when he passed away 3 years ago. He was the most loveable cat and we wanted to find a way to remember him and decided on the idea of a series just for him. He was a wanderer and we thought the idea of making him the neighborhood cat detective solving all the “crimes” against the neighborhood pets would be fun.

Embry’s first book will be available in late 2025!

Lincoln

Lincoln is a 2 year old American Honey Golden Retriever. He started his training at 8 weeks in hopes of being a service dog for his owner. He passed all of his training and testing 2 years later. He is now a mobility and alert service dog, helping his owner with balance when she walks, bringing her things on the ground or on tables, and helping her get up from the floor. He is also working on scent training for alerting for blood pressure changes in his owner. He is such a smart boy with a big personality and LOVES to greet people and get lots of love and attention after he is done working.

Athena and Lincoln have grown to be best friends and get together as much as possible. Lincoln will be featured in the Athena the anxious Shepherd series.

Roxie

Roxie is a 9 year old Boston Terrier (AKA Boston Terror!) and she LOVES getting in trouble! She is the main character of the Roxie and the naughty corner series. She has so many crazy sides to her personality and we thought these would make some entertaining stories.

Roxie’s first story will be available in 2025!
